Week 2 Wednesday Night Run Club

Just a quick post before I hit the hay. Tonight at run club we pounded out nearly 11km, leaving from Broadway, running the seawall past kits beach and on to Alma where we turned around and came back the same way. There was an option to turn around at Waterloo for a total of 10km, and it was so tempting! It was a beautiful evening for running in Van, but super hot and humid, and I was an intensely sweaty mess by the end. I really tried to push myself and was pleased when I saw we had run 10km in just over 49 min. I ended up finishing the whole thing in 54 min, with an average pace of 4:58. Although I felt like I might vomit on the last hill back up to Broadway, I think the big snack I had around 4:30 or so really fueled me well- a HUGE bowl of greek yogurt, kashi crunch, pumpkin, tiny bit of banana, and almond butter. so filling, so good. ok beddy byes, getting up early for a quick run before class with my lovely roomie ;)!
